 24/12/2008 - New Scenario, New Panzer2.dat, Merry Christmas! |

After quite a while there is a new scenario (due to lack of time still on the old page): Poland 1939 shows that the blitzkrieg was anything else but a walk-through. The new panzer2.dat (containing all icons) from Oct, 2008 is available on our equipment d/l page. It will be required for the next RSF version, i.e. hopefully by the end of January. The Raiders team wishes you a merry, peaceful, and enjoyable Christmas! |

Following a suggestion by Winter, championship-(ir)relevant scores are now displayed in a clearer way. While Hoza is going to be the absolute champ for sure despite the limit, in the relative ladder a surprise may be possible. Players who have not yet started their second game within this season should do so now! BTW, there are two new maps by Clu (#1028 and #1029) you may want to download since they will be required for upcoming scenarios. |

The Gothic Line v2.7 is even more fortified now but the Allies have been strengthened as well. Borodino v2.7 has been tweaked in favor of the Russians. Thanks to our east-front expert Winter for his suggestions! Barbarossa v2.7 now has some RSF*2.7 units as well. |

As a first step of the scenario page redesign - the scenario page has not changed at all. :o) However, all those messy scenario entries in the games table have been unified and are uniformly displayed in the appropriate language on the stats & details pages now. Third party scenarios may be played further on but will no longer be recorded by name. |

Three more scenarios have been updated to RSF*2.7: Bzura Break-Out: the number of turns has been incremented by 3 thanks to suggestions by Infernalex and Hoza. Sickle Cut (a term by W. Churchill, BTW!): the Germans will do a little harder now but are still supposed to win. Case 'Axis': no dramatic changes, just some RSF*2.7 units. Please have a look at the respective readme files for a complete list of changes. Luis' Suite PG2 download page is now linked on our Quick Links page for easy access. The latest Suite release is 4.22, BTW. |

The Raiders' bonus weeks are now! Unlike in previous seasons, the bonus points won't be added until the end of July though. Please read the ladder page ticker for details! On the occasion of the new season the web dude spent a new paint for the Raiders pages. Hope you like it although it is not quite finished yet. BTW: if this page does not work as it should or pages look somehow strange you are using a non-standard browser with limited capabilities. The Internet Exlorer is urgently recommended. Besides the design some content and functions have changed as well:

Former recruit Schnabel turned out to be a real whiz kid, defeating his drill sarge by 8:0 at El Alamein! The championships are getting exciting: Hoza and Shukov are a good bet for the absolute championship while Shukov and Clu are the most likely candidates for the relative one. |

Thanks to Tomcat aka Shadow there is an RSF*2.7 version of 'Race to the Rhine' with massively changed victory conditions. As a conclusion from the tournament results and AARs, 'Giants at the Vistula' has been updated to v2.8. For details and rules (Race ...) see the respective readme files. |

The winners of the 14th season have been labeled a little more significantly on the respective ladder pages. The Hall of Fame is updated as well. Our latest Mega General is Winter. Unfortunately we forgot to give him the bonus for the previous season. So he gets 10 extra points this season. |

There are lots of very fine scenarios which have become a little shop-soiled over the years due to the further development of the RSF. They may be interesting again after a little equipment 'modernization'. Let's start with Rostov 42 v2.7 which - as the version no. says - includes some RSF*2.7 units now. Others will follow. There is one other crucial point with older scenarios, BTW: depleted units could be replenished to the max maintaining their full experience (PG 1 was better to that extent). Since this is extremely unrealistic, the basic strength will be reduced in updated scenarios. |

The perfect interaction of units has always been the key to success in PG2. The RSF 2.70 includes lots of [c]ombat support units, even fighter aces [C]. These [C] units require an even more profound interaction of your units! The WW2 icon redesign is complete now. How could we bear those crappy old SSI icons for 10 years? More ... Furthermore, from now on the UK-patch 2.20 is our official PG2 executable! Within current games both players are asked to upgrade in the same turn! Go to download page ... |

| The ladder pages now indicate the latest results and display the total number of games within the respective timespan - quite impressive for the long term ladders, not (yet) overwhelming for the current season. |

Thanks to your new head of the league, Sgt. Pepper, the ladders for the 14th season are eventually on-line! They are, as well as the long term ladders and the report form, data base-driven, i.e. you will see your results immediately after being reported (hit 'refresh' if not). So please do report your results of this season (so far) now! BTW: don't ask for the 13th season! Armchair generals are superstitious. ;) At the same time, the number of visits is approaching a quarter of a million! So the 250,000th visitor will get a 3 points bonus for the current season (if he is a member). Please send a screenshot if you're the lucky one! We are delighted to welcome our new 'member of the month', Augusto from bella Italia! :) Anything new else? Well, the title bar tanks have been RSFified. |
