10 Good Reasons ...
     ... to play RAIDERS scenarios :
  1. As opposed to 'cheap' scenario pools all RAIDERS scenes have extended features like entrenchments, leader abilities, overstrength units, reinforcements etc.;
    additionally many of them also have unit designations and geographical names on the map.
  2. Most scenarios are built on new maps from the Builders Paradise or by our RedScorpion.
  3. Many scenes can be played with different equipment files, e.g. all SSI scenes can and should be played with the much better RAIDERS equipment (RSF). The Waffenkammer equipment can be used for many scenes as well.
  4. The highlights, however, are those many new RSFplus scenarios including numerous new units and more realistic combat behavior, also for well-known units!
    Please look below at 'e-file' and afterwards on our download page!
  5. There is also a 4 player PBEM and a WW3 scenario - and there will be more if you are interested.
  6. The scenarios are based on historical battles as far as they are not explicitely fictitious - what can be fun either.
  7. Nevertheless many scenes can be won by both sides; this makes absolutely thrilling ladder duels possible.
  8. All scenarios have been tested thoroughly by their authors and by our scenario QM and are steadily optimized after playtests if necessary.
  9. Our scenarios are popular in the entire Panzergeneral Portal, i.e. they are suitable for inter-club duels - and even mandatory for Portal tournament.
  10. Since nearly all scenes are bilingual (German / English) they can be used for international games as well.

Installing scenarios and maps
For installing take the following steps:
  1. Un-zip the scenario ZIP file into ...\Panzer General 2\USERSCEN (if folder does not yet exist, install it first).

  2. Un-zip the map ZIP file:
    - *.MAP into ...\Panzer General 2\SCENARIO
    - *.SHP into  ...\Panzer General 2\MAP (if folder does not yet exist, install it first).

    I.e., do NOT put *.MAP into the folder \MAP; that had obviously been too simple for SSI :-/

  3. If there is a MAP folder on your hd PG II won't search the CD anymore. In order to play on SSI maps furthermore please:
    - Copy CD... \map \*.* to harddisk... \map.
    - Remove the write-only attributes from all those files (see properties).
    Thus you can play even SSI stuff without the CD and the game will load much faster :-)

Installing the Waffenkammer Equipment (© Andreas Seidel)
ATTENTION! The SSI e-file will be overwritten by the following procedure! Therefore it is urgently recommended to make a second PG II installation (just copy the entire ...\Panzer General II folder and rename it to e.g. ...\PG II WFK)!
This is also useful to avoid confusion if in any of your leagues the SSI e-file is mandatory.
  • Download the WW2 equipment file from Andreas Seidels Waffenkammer
    -> Panzer General II Upgrade Download Page
    -> English WW2 4.01 Playing File (upgrade.zip)

  • Installation instructions are contained in the ZIP file. If you have problems nevertheless, ask me (not Andreas, because he has retired).

  • Besides the actual e-file you must download the graphics update - > Graphics file (GFX).
    You should also download the sounds: howling dive bombers, cracking cannons, neighing horses etc.. - > SFX file (SFX, SFX2)

  • You need not download the German files to play against German opponents!

  • Last but not least: if you want to build your own scenarios, the editor e-file is recommended. Just un-zip the upgeditor.zip into your main PG II WFK folder. Then you can select fortifications, ships etc. directly in the SSI editor under 'tactical bombers' and don't have to redefine them in Lasse Jensen's editor laboriously - > editor file
