21/07/2007 - New Raider
We are pleased to welcome a PG2 veteran from Germany who is also known for his many articles on WW2 history in the German forum: Gerd.
He is the new head of our history dept. as you can see on the updated imprint / staff page.
Please make yourself familiar with our staff members' new roles!
11/07/2007 - Nothing happened ;)
Did you notice anything new? No? Then it's OK! The Raiders site has been moved to a new server enabling all those fancy new tech features required for the new ladders. These will be up approximately by the end of this month.
01/07/2007 - 12th Season Finished
In the championships of the 12th season the die is cast. Congratulations to the following generals:

Absolute championship:
  1.   Champion: Shukov (gets 15 extra points in the long term ladders)
  2.   Vice champion: Joerg0866 (10 extra points)
  3.   Bronze Medal: Infernalex (5 extra points).
Relative championship:
  1.   Champion: Infernalex (another 15 extra points!)
  2.   Vice champion: Joerg0866 (another 10 extra points!)
  3.   Bronze Medal: Grisha (5 extra points).
Thanks also to our busiest players, particularly to the
  •   Player of the Season: Shukov with 20 PBEM games in 6 months.
The hall of fame and the long term ladders incl. medals and bonuses have been updated.

At this time, special thanks is to be said to our dear friend Luigi who steadily kept the ladders up to date for 2 1/2 years against all odds of that weird old ladder generator engine!

The start of the new season will take a while, for there is much planning and coding to be done. Please be patient, and please PBEM nevertheless; your results won't be lost!
06/06/2007 - D(ownload)-Day: the RSF 2.60
The RSF 2.60 brings you tons of new icons and some additional units / features. Please go here and enjoy an improved PG2 again!
28/05/2007 - New Scenario, New Kind of Map
Over a decade it has often been criticized that night combat is not possible in PG2.
Well, it is - at least in the graphic respect!
So enjoy a quite new PG 2 ambience with Gerra's map and his 'Operation Chariot'!
21/05/2007 - New Panzer2.dat
Thanks to the international developers there is a new Datup, i.e. new icons for our game again!
You won't need it and won't detect any changes with the current RSF 2.51 - but it will be required for the RSF 2.60 coming in June. BTW: there will be no compatibility problems with current games. :)
Please go on here!
08/05/2007 - Kursk 4ever!
Our most-played and most-optimized scenario is now available as version 2.20. This time the Axis has been slightly beefed up.
Additionally, this version can now be played by 4 players as well! Some of us remember the legendary North Front teamwork battles?
07/05/2007 - New Raider
Roberto has finished the boot camp as our (probably) last recruit.
01/05/2007 - New Mega General
Joerg0866 is our latest (and probably last) mega general with more than 300 points. Luigi will award him the medal and the 10 points bonus soon.
On the scenario page there is a preview of the upcoming new scenario from now on.
08/04/2007 - Easter Eggs
Egg #1 :)
Version 4.17 of Luis' Suite PG2 lets you download all missing maps (e.g. for campaigns) by just a few clicks! This is possible due to Gilestiel's help who set up a great Map Finder page. You can find that link at the bottom of our maps page as well.
Egg #2 :)
The RSF 2.51 is out now! There are no spectacular new units this time; nevertheless this bug fix update is important and required for ...
Egg #3 :)
Omaha Beach, a sophisticated new scenario for the infantry general.
Happy Easter to all of you!
01/04/2007 - New Raider
Hacksch has earned his first two points at Salerno and is a regular member now.
17/03/2007 - TGR
The very last TGR game has been finished. The winner is Grisha. Thanks to those many players who took part obeying the rules - and explicitely no thanks to those few drags who spoilt our unique play format by grotesque delays.
04/03/2007 - New RSF Version
The RSF 2.50 brings you further improvements. Please read this first and then download the files here.
28/02/2007 - End of Tournament

23/02/2007 - Tournament

Sturmmax is out of the boot camp and new to the ladders.
Current score in the tournament: FFWC  7  :  22  Raiders
28/01/2007 - FFWC vs. Raiders Tournament, 'Kursk'
We have won the first two matches! The winners are Infernalex and Old Rayy. There will, however, be some defeats in the future; and please remember the FFWC players have a disadvantage due to the unfamiliar e-file.
The 'Kursk' scenario is great, but still one-sided. Therefore a much more realistic version will be up soon.
26/01/2007 - New Scenario, New Mega General
Tanker converted an Adlerkorps scenario to RSF. Bzura Break-Out is a real challenge to your tactical abilities!
Grisha is our latest mega general, having crossed the magic 300 points border. He will receive his deserved 10 bonus points with his next result report.

Let's not quite forget about our championship about the soccer world cup.
The 10th season will finish at June 30, and right now these players are on top:

30/05/2006 - New Raider
Right from outer space into our league: Orion. ;)
25/05/2006 - New Raider, New Suite Release
We welcome S.M.S. Dresden to our ladder! 'S.M.S.', BTW, is German for 'His Majesty's Ship' - so he may be rather an admiral than a Panzer general?
There is also a new release 4.15d of Luis' Suite PG2 available on our PG2 download page. Grab it!
16/05/2006 - New Raider
Skylord from Austria reinforces our mountain troops from now on. ;)

01/05/2006 - New Raiders
A new month, two new members: welcome to JJLL and Berni.
23/04/2006 - TGR

this raid is now open for everyone. Former registrations are no more valid, though - please register again!
16/04/2006 - Easter Eggs
News from the East(er) front: after some rather small and experimental scenarios, there is a new scenario with lots of units again. It is simply called 'The Front'. Players who like Kursk, Citadel North, and Prokhorovka III may find it interesting. And there are some 'Easter eggs' in it - see the readme file! :)
There is also a new raid available: #17 'The Wehrmacht's Last Offensives'.
But please note the registration restriction in the footnote to that raid!
Happy Easter!
- Rayy
14/04/2006 - New Raider

New scenario expected on Sunday.
08/04/2006 - New Raider
After a few problems Schwarzerfalke has made it into the ladder.
03/04/2006 - New Scenario

26/03/2006 - Tourney Victory!
For another time our top gun has won great fame and honor for the Raiders and is going beyond the scope of our HoF: after the 8th, Black Tuareg has won the 9th Portal tournament as well!
Of course he will get another 15 extra points in the ladders.
Two more Raiders, Tanker and Scipio are still fighting for the 3rd place.
Please apologize that the announced new scenario will be delayed for a few days due to many administrative tasks.
25/03/2006 - New Raider
After a hard battle against the boot camp chief, Der Fred from Germany has made it into the ladders.
23/03/2006 - New Raider
Another Desert Fox has joined us: Desert Fox from Germany.
19/03/2006 - Miscellaneous
You will find a new link taking you to the Stahlhelm Team under 'PG2 Specials'.
And there is a link to a great product by this team on the 'PG2 Download' page. Look for the all-in-one patch at the top of the d/l tables!
Furthermore, with Drache we got another Mega-General! :)
TGR: in raid #15 Rommel has achieved another victory.
The scenario page is updated, and two new scenarios will be published in the near future!
05/03/2006 - New Raider
New to our community: King.net from Germany.
03/03/2006 - Tournament
The PG Portal tourney finals have started.
And 3 out of 4 participants (Black Tuareg, Scipio, Tanker) fight for our club! Great!
26/02/2006 - New Scenario
Our ex-member Gerra has created another beautiful map and an interesting scenario: Gustav Line is the most complete one dealing with the battles in the Monte Cassino area and fun to play as well.
23/02/2006 - New Mega-General
Infernalex has been the 11th Mega-General in the Raiders' history for quite a while - well, now he has finally got his deserved medal. :)
15/02/2006 - New Raider
Babkuki from Austria has started his career with a fast game.
10/02/2006 - New Raider
Ready for combat: Roald from Germany.
08/02/2006 - Scenario and Suite Update, Fair Play
The Bridge at Remagen II has been modified for the last time, definitely. V2.1 is harder for the Americans; see the readme file and the scenario comment.
There is also a new release 4.13f of Luis' Suite PG2 available on our PG2 download page.
And for the very last time: It is strictly forbidden to sell given units in any scenario, whether it is stated in the respective readme file or not! Trespassers will be kicked out immediately in the future. Our league is no kindergarten! Please read this again!
28/01/2006 - TGR: New Raid
A new raid is open for (nearly) every Raider. This time the battles take place at 'The Rhine - River of Fate'.
BTW: those two guys who have slowed down previous raids in an unacceptable way will not be admitted to this one.
22/01/2006 - New Scenario
A new challenge for panzer generals: a Convoy Battle in the Mediterranean. Don't rely on your tanks! ;)
Concerning the rules please read also this!

  3.   Third: Joerg0866 (5 extra points).
Special thanks also to our busiest players, particularly to the
  •   Player of the Season: LuigItaliano2 with a formidable amount of 38 PBEM games in 6 months!
The hall of fame and the long term ladders including new medals and bonus points have been updated.
The new current ladders will be up within a few days.
Good luck for the 10th (jubilee) season!

Last but not least:
thanks a lot to all our busy helpers, particularly to Luigi and Fennek without whom the league would no more exist!
24/12/2005 - Christmas Gifts
This year's Christmas gifts come from:
Sgt. Pepper aka Pepperoni. He has made a quite excellent scenario on his own new map:
Op. Plunder v1.1 - Crossing the Rhine. I bet you will like it! :))

Scipio. He has had a really nice idea and worked it out perfectly
- his Panzer Memory game. Have fun with it!

And have a merry, peaceful and enjoyable Christmas!
- Rayydar
19/12/2005 - Maps, Suite
There are two more maps published, among them the most distinguished 'WeselAIR' by Sgt. Pepper with lots of ... guess what ... air-landing zones! Download it now - you will need it soon! :)
And the latest release 4.12b of Luis' Suite PG2 is also available on our PG2 download page.
14/12/2005 - Boot camp
Because Schongaubesteher has cheated in his bootcamp duel he will not become a Raiders member.
07/12/2005 - Newsletter
Everybody is invited to subscribe to our newsletter.
06/12/2005 - New Raider
Ready for combat: Knox2k from Germany.
04/12/2005 - New Raider, Scenario Update
Hoth from Romania has started his membership with a victory, too - against Chris Filio!
Congrats and bine ai venit!
The Bridge at Remagen II has been RSF*2*ified and better balanced. The victory conditions which may have been somehow complicated have been simplified enormously.
30/11/2005 - New Raider
Heinrichi from the Netherlands has started his membership with a victory.
Hartelijk welkom!
20/11/2005 - Members, Scenario Update
The long-time mascot of our club, the legendary Oberfeldw. Schultz, also known from Hogan's Heroes, has quit. Bye-bye, Schultzi!
But today we have also got 4 (four!) new members: Legolas (.it), Dragdasan (.ro), Codo (.de), and Banane (.de). Welcome to the club! :)
Narvik is now available as an RSF*2* version. Well, the only unit change was the Blenheim -> Swordfish. The main purpose of this update was the clarification of victory conditions (-> README!).
12/11/2005 - TGR: New Raid
Thanks to Winter you can register for raid #15 'Red Tide Rising' now.
Please keep in mind that TGR games are to be played with highest priority!
Very slow players who have extremely delayed some raids in the past may be excluded from this format.
05/11/2005 - Portal Tournament
Eventually, the 9th tournament has been launched with 17 Raiders participating! Please start playing yesterday!
Info for newcomers:
- Tourney results are also valid for our ladders. So please do report them!
- In the report form, please make sure to enter your opponent's appropriate club - the one he starts for in the tourney!
Have fun and good luck to all of you! May the Force be with you!
03/11/2005 - Global Portal Member Map
Check out our Frappr! Please Add Yourself!
01/11/2005 - New Mega-General, New Raider
Shukov is Player of the Month, has more than 300 points now and is thus the Raiders' ninth Mega-General.
Who will be the tenth?
TRH (.de) has fought bravely at Kanev and is now a regular member.
30/10/2005 - Scenario Updates
Two scenarios have been RSF*2*ified: Crete - Op. Mercury (massive changes incl. Greek units)
and D-Day II (minor changes). Details are listed in the respective readme files.
BTW: is everyone aware of that every SSI, RSF/SSI, and RSFplus scenario can and should be played with the RSF*2* as well?
12/10/2005 - New Scenario
Despite still designed for the RSF1 (and just some units replaced by RSF*2* ones), Operation 'Nordwind' II is a real masterpiece by Anrheiner. Its perfect combination of historical correctness and playability reminds of Amona's classics Citadel North, Stalingrad, and Anzio. Forget about the SSI original!
Another valuable contribution by Anrheiner: he sent nearly all required files 'ready for upload' to the overcharged webmaster - who is thinking about a hi-tech RSF*2* scene meanwhile. :)
09/10/2005 - Update v2.05
Well, there have still been some bugs like missing sounds etc. and some valuable suggestions which have been implemented. So please download v2.05 right here and overwrite any older file!
Special thanks to Mad Hungarian and Sgt. Pepper!
Changes are listed in the readme file. BTW: this is definitely the last RSF modification for this year! ;)
Per i nostri amici italiani Luigi ha modificato l'interfaccia per poter giocare PG2 interamente in italiano!.
È contenuta nell'aggiornamento RSF 2.05

02/10/2005 - New Mega-General
Due to his recent series of successful battles Scipio now has by far more than 300 points
and is therefore appointed Mega-General!
27/09/2005 - New Scenario, Tournament Result
'Red Tide Rising - The Prequel', the first genuine RSF*2* scenario, may be considered rather a 'low-tech' one regarding the composition of forces and the period of time (1942). On the other hand, it is a good training in the usage of hi-tech RSF*2* features such as [C]ombat support, [G]round combat ability for AD, [R]econ skill for planes and snipers, and [S]upport fire by MG units. You definitely need the RSF*2* (see below) now!
The 8th tournament has been finished eventually. Bruno the Brute came out third. Good job, André! :)
25/09/2005 - GUI in English, New Raider
And OOPS again! Of course there should be an user interface in English!
Here it is. Extract it to the PG2 main folder, and you will understand the game again :)
Additionally to the new e-file we got a new regular member: Leo Leone from Germany.
22/09/2005 - : The is up!
Maybe some of you did no more believe in it due to certain delays - but eventually, the RSF*2* is out now!
21/09/2005 - Tournament Victory!
After some confusion about the results of the 8th Portal tourney (see Sept. 4), now our top-gun Black Tuareg has definitely achieved the overall victory in the hardest PG2 competition ever. Phantastic! :))
Congrats go also to runner-up Mad Hungarian (playing for TBG).
18/09/2005 - New Suite Release
In his recent update of the Suite PG2, Luis Guzman fixed some bugs and improved e-file editing once more.
See our PG2 download page (-> scenario tools).
14/09/2005 - New Raider
Everyday a new Raider! Great! Today our friends from bella Italia are reinforced by Panther77. Benvenuto! :)
13/09/2005 - New Raider
Another new member is ready for combat now: Major Balu from Germany!
12/09/2005 - New Raider, RSF*2*
We seem to have a 'wolfpack' in this club now. After Eiswolf and Wehrwolf, our latest regular member is just called Wolf!
Due to merciless testing by RLM hundreds of errors and inconsistencies (partly passed on since old Waffenkammer times) have been revealed in the RSF*2*. Those are of course to be fixed before the final release. Quality rules! So it will take a few days longer than planned until you can enjoy the 'new PG2'. Thanks for your patience!
04/09/2005 - Miscellaneous
There has been some confusion about the final results of the 8th tournament. Despite already being listed on the 1st and 2nd place, Black Tuareg and Bruno the Brute, as good sports, have decided to give Mad Hungarian (TBG in this case) a fair chance to finish his games. Actually, according to the rules, he would have been kicked out due to delayed response.
The RSF2 will most probably be published in ca. 10 days!
The scenario page has been updated.
25/08/2005 - New Raider
Jurek has started his membership with a stunning 8:0 victory against one of our top players! Congrats!
24/08/2005 - New Raider
Anrheiner has made his way from the Ardennes through the boot camp right into our ladders! ;)
20/08/2005 - New Old Raider
We are glad that Winter, after having been inactive for nearly a year, has returned to our league. :)
We (central Europeans) are not glad that the winter seems to return in the month of August. :(
17/08/2005 - New Mega-General
Our indefatigable friend from Italy, ladder master and probably busiest PG2 player alive, LuigItaliano2, has been awarded the Raiders' Gold Star medal in the long term ladders and in the Hall of Fame for more than 100 matches (played in only 15 months of membership)! That's phantastic! :)))
14/08/2005 - New Scenario
Anrheiner, another talented newcomer has entered our scenario page.
His Ardennes - Battle of the Bulge II provides historical correctness with all involved units and fun as well. Entirely satisfying! BTW: don't be surprised at the larger than usual download (532 k) - there is a rich documentation included.
07/08/2005 - 9th Tournament, New Suite Release, Scenario Page

Registration for the 9th Portal world tournament is open. The tourney will start in October and will be played with the upcoming RSF*2* and the UK210 patch.
In the 8th tournament finals 4 Raiders are facing 2 TBG players. Good luck, guys, particularly to Black Tuareg and Bruno the Brute!
BTW: all relevant tourney pages are accessible via the 'complete menu' frame.

Another great update of the Suite PG2 by Luis Guzman covering all new features of the UK210 patch is now available on our PG2 download page (-> scenario tools).

After quite a while the scenario page has been updated again (scen stats, comments, scenario of the month). Coming up next weekend: a new scenario - probably the last built for the RSF1.
27/07/2005 - New Raider
Bullwyf from Germany has been successfully drilled by our boot camp chief master drill sarge Fennek himself and is now a regular member! :)
24/07/2005 - RSF*2* Preview, Jubilee
Slowly but surely the RSF*2* is getting completed. While still waiting please enjoy the RSF*2* preview page!

The 1000th game in the Raiders' history has been played by Rommel. Unfortunately, this was the tourney semi-final game which he lost against MadHungarian who, unfortunately again, played for TBG. So the 3 points jubilee bonus goes to Rommel only.
Anyway, thanks a lot to all those busy players, particularly Eiswolf who was involved in 12.1% of those 1000 matches! :)
16/07/2005 - Miscellaneous
Our friend Luigi has a new email address: de_lorenzo_vt@tiscali.it !
Due to increased member tolls the 1st divisions of the long term ladders are adjusted to 35 (ex-)players.
In the upcoming week there will be a special 'appetizer' for you. :)
12/07/2005 - New Raider
We got another regular and very experienced member from the UK. Welcome aboard, Willinski!
11/07/2005 - Tournament, Jubilee
In the Portal tourney semi-finals 4 out of 6 participants play for our club! Great! We are more successful than ever!
Very soon the 1,000th game in the Raiders' history will be reported. As a little reward, each Raiders player involved in that game will get another 3 points bonus additionally to the 'regular' bonus!
07/07/2005 - New York, Madrid, London ...
Please commemorate the innocent civilians in London who fell victim to a mob of terrorists whose name is not worth to be mentioned and whose members are inferior to any bloody pig!
We feel with you, our friends in the UK!
05/07/2005 - New Ladders, Schultz
The first result of the new season and therefore the new ladders are available now.
And our mascot, the scuffproof Oberfeldwebel Schultz, is back to active duty! :)
30/06/2005 - 8th Season Finished, Bonus Weeks
In the championships of the 8th season the die is cast. Congratulations to the following generals:

Absolute championship:
  1.   Champion: Rommel (gets 15 extra points in the long term ladders)
  2.   Vice champion: Fennek (10 extra points)
  3.   Third: Chris Filio (5 extra points).
Relative championship:
  1.   Champion: Black Tuareg (15 extra points)
  2.   Vice champion: Rommel (another 10 extra points)
  3.   Third: Bruno the Brute (5 extra points).
Special thanks also to our busiest players, particularly to the
  •   Player of the Season: Chris Filio with a formidable amount of 47 PBEM games in 6 months!
The hall of fame and the long term ladders including new medals and bonus points have been updated.
The new current ladders will probably be up on Sunday.

Last, but not least: the Raiders' annual bonus weeks are starting on July 1! For details see the result report form. Good luck for the 9th season!
25/06/2005 - New Raider
The Raiders' global village is growing and growing. Thanks to our first regular member from Portugal for joining us! Bemvenido, Val! :)
16/06/2005 - New Raider
Our Polish friends have 'deployed' another panzer general on our battleground. Welcome, Tanker! :)
To his future opponents: please note Tanker's changed e-mail address!
14/06/2005 - Jubilee
The Raiders' club now has been existing for 4 years. Thanks a lot to all who helped! Never ever had I imagined in 2001 what a great crew would join together here over the years. I hope you had fun and you will have fun!
- Rayy
12/06/2005 - New Scenario
A new co-production within our top scenario designers team: v. Neuber (WPC) has converted Amona's already excellent 'Lodz' campaign scene to an even greater stand-alone version. Have fun with 'Break-through to Lodz'!
The Sealion 1943.ZIP is now WinZip / Windows-compatible. If you had probs extracting it please try again.
03/06/2005 - New Raider
The Huns are still alive, even in our ladders! We welcome Etzel (ancient German name for Attila) as a regular member!
01/06/2005 - GOOD News
Poooh! After some sleepless nights I finally managed to get the ladder generator basically running under Win XP.
The ladders are updated again! However, there is still a lot of work to do for Luigi and me. So please understand that updates can't be done daily for a while. And please check your recent results!
And yes, you can send result reports again!
- Rayy
30/05/2005 - Bad News, New Raider
The e-mail account probs have been fixed. You can sent reports again. However, you will not see your results in the ladders for a long time. :(((
Please read on here!
Although you can't see him in the ladders, we are proud to welcome SGT V, a member of TBG's General Staff, as our latest regular member! For those who want to challenge him: he is a US American and plays BEM.
26/05/2005 - New Mega-General
Fennek has become a Mega-General (more than 300 points in the long term ladder) after only 8 months of membership! Amazing! Of course he has been awarded the Raiders' Gold Star and 10 bonus points for his merits.
19/05/2005 - Wanted: Campaign Translator, Tournament
For meanwhile over 2 years there has been a superb 'Guderian' RSFplus campaign ('Klotzen - nicht Kleckern') which is still an absolute favorite of German and Austrian players. We would like to make it available for English reading players, too!
However, there are lots of 'OKW style' texts to be translated. Is there any English native speaker with a deep understanding of German who wants to help?
In the round of 24 of the tourney already 4 games out of 12 have been won by Raiders - and there will be one more 'RR' winner for sure. Good job, guys!
17/05/2005 - TGR, Mega-Generals
Thanks to Rommel a new raid (#14) is available and waiting for the commander(s) of Army Group South!
Chris Filio and Rommel are our latest Mega-Generals having more than 300 points in the long term ladder.
Congratulations! The deserved medals in the ladders and in the Hall of Fame have been awarded as well as and 10 bonus points each.
15/05/2005 - New Scenario
Race to the Rhine on the excellent Kharkov map by Vito is a tricky retreat scenario (for the Germans, of course).
Have fun!
07/05/2005 - Scenario Update
Finally, RedScorpion's El Alamein / Alam Halfa has been converted to RSF and slightly modified. Maybe it's not quite state-of-the-art, but it's a must for 'desert foxes' (and required for TGR as well).
Good news: entirely new scenarios will probably be up soon!
01/05/2005 - Miscellaneous
There is a new player and a new recommended scenario of the month.
Members who have not played any game this season and who have contributed nothing else should think about starting to play soon! Maybe some challenges by our busy generals would help?
27/04/2005 - New Raider
We got another regular member from Poland. Welcome to our club, Grisha! :)
24/04/2005 - Scenario Updates
Jedrek's 'Sealion 1943' v1.3 is debugged and up again. German fresh units, however, can still be deployed on the British isle; as implemented in the game engine, ports are always deployment hexes for either side.
The Battle of the Bulge v1.5 is now available as an RSFplus version. Unrealistic air-transport facilities have been stripped.
23/04/2005 - TGR: New Raid Available
20/04/2005 - New Raider, Suite PG2 Update
We got another regular member. Air force generals, beware of the Kugelblitz! ;)
Version 3.32P of Luis' Suite PG2 can now be found here as well:: PG2 download -> scenario tools.
16/04/2005 - Panzer Puzzle Resolved
01/04/2005 - Player of the Month, Tournament
Thanks to Chris Filio and all other busy players. :)
New: a click on a listbox entry now opens the respective player's relevant statistics page.
14 Raiders have reached the 2nd round of the Portal tourney - and 2 have already won their 2nd games. Great!
28/03/2005 - New Raider
After a quick boot camp game Wehrwolf, a bilingual veteran from Germany, is a regular member now . :)
27/03/2005 - Miscellaneous
Sorry, due to organizational matters no 'easter-eggs' this year. :(
There will be some new stuff within the next weeks, though. :)
The TGR page has been updated again and will be maintained by Scipio in the future.
New head of the boot camp is Fennek.
Thanks to both of them and of course to our friend Luigi for their readiness to keep this club running! :)
Please have a look at the scenario page!
Happy Easter!
19/03/2005 - Facelift and More
Hopefully you like the modified title bars and menus, particularly the additional complete, hierarchic menu!
Unfortunately, despite enormous efforts by Scipio, it doesn't work quite as well with incompatible browsers like Firefox. The IE is recommended anyway. ;)
10/03/2005 - New Mega-General, Tournament
There is a flood of medals and bonus points these days! Black Tuareg gets 10 for becoming a Mega-General (more than 300 points in the long term ladders).
And he gets another 10 for his oustanding 2nd place in the 7th Portal tourney which is thereby finished. The winner (for another time) is Rommel, playing for TBG. Congrats to both of you!
05/03/2005 - New Grand Raider, New Raider
Xamos, after a 'near miss' in raid #07, now is appointed the second Grand Raider in the history of our club! To be honest: he could have been even the first if his opponent had been a little faster. Anyway, he will enjoy a view at the relative ladder! ;)
Furthermore we got another new regular member from Italy. Benvenuto, RIC1960!
04/03/2005 - Ladder Updates, Google Tool Bar
Thanks to our busyssimo friend Luigi the current ladders are updated daily (if new results supplied) and the long term ladders twice a week again (in the evenings :)
Those of you who have the Google tool bar installed can give them a 'positive vote' for our pages (just click the smiley).
02/03/2005 - The Grand Raid, Tournament
At last it happened! Congratulations to Fennek, the first Grand Raider ever! Apart from 20 bonus points he gets his first medal in the Hall of Fame and in the long term ladders. For details see the TGR page.
The 8th Portal world tournament has started and can be accessed directly form the menu frame (left).
Among the 80 participants there are 22 Raiders - more than from any other club! Good luck to all of you!
01/03/2005 - Scenario Update Service
Unfortunately the scenario update mailing list has been lost in a disk crash. Please register again if you are interested in further notifications. Sorry for your inconvenience.
24/02/2005 - New Raider
Our 'Polish Army Corps' gets stronger and stronger. :)
Welcome to Arex Mirniman again who, BTW, has already registered for the tourney as well. And what about YOU?
20/02/2005 - New Scenario
Huertgen Forest by Xamos represents an excellent mix of historical correctness and PG2 playability.
And due to the map it's a nice diversification in our scenario pool. :)
18/02/2005 - TGR
Xamos has successfully finished raid #07 and collects 15 bonus points!
15/02/2005 - Tournament
Due to the overwhelming interest the number of slots for the 8th PG2 world tournament has been increased to 96! There are already 17 Raiders registered; now there can be even more! Keep in mind: if you start for the Raiders your tourney games - and maybe bonuses - are scored in the regular ladders!
14/02/2005 - New Mega-General
Oops! For already quite a while Bruno the Brute has been the Raiders' third Mega-General (more than 300 points in the long term ladders). Of course he is awarded the Raiders' Gold Star medal for his outstanding activities. :)
12/02/2005 - New Ladder Master (3)
There is a photo of our friend Luigi in the imprint now.
In the future ladder updates will usually be done in the evenings (CET).
11/02/2005 - New Ladder Master (2)
In order to facilitate Luigi's work for you, please use the result report comments to brief him about:
- any bonuses you / your opponent deserve(s) from the respective game (tourney, TGR)
- any new member, i.e. a recruit who has finished his first boot camp duel.
Thanks for your cooperation!
10/02/2005 - New Ladder Master, New Raider
For the first time the current ladders updates have been done by LuigItaliano2, the Raiders' new ladder master!
He will more and more take the reins from Old Rayy within the next weeks, and we should appreciate that he is willing to do this really demanding job. :)
So please forgive him slight delays and maybe mistakes (plz check your results carefully) as long as he is still learning!
We also welcome Game Maker from Poland / USA, another most experienced player! :)
08/02/2005 - New Raider
Welcome to Tacticus from Canada, a most experienced player! :)
06/02/2005 - Scenario Bugs
In a PBEM duel some mysterious bugs have shown up in Op. Sealion 1943. You'd rather not start a match on this scenario until this is resolved.
01/02/2005 - Nationalities
Please read this!
31/01/2005 - Tournament
In the current, 7th PG2 world tournament Black Tuareg has already qualified for the final, and Bruno the Brute is fighting in the semi-final. Great job by the Raiders 'top guns'! :)
Registrations for the 8th tournament, starting on March 1, are possible right now.
Of course each player may register once only!
27/01/2005 - TGR
There are two open raids again: one relaunch for 2nd league players and quite a new one by Xamos.
Xamos, BTW, is our new 'Lord of the Raids', i.e. responsible for everything TGR-related from now on.
If you email him please write in simple English or in German (doesn't have to be perfect :)
23/01/2005 - New Scenario
As announced, Jedrek41 has submitted his first Raiders scenario. Sealion 1943, the hypothetical invasion of England, is inspired by the great PG1 version - and it has turned out well indeed! :)
21/01/2005 - New Raiders, TGR
Our 3rd and 4th new members this week are another two very experienced players:
JSweitzer from the USA and Goerner from Germany. :)
Several TGR raids are close to their (successful?) end. New raids will be opened soon.
19/01/2005 - New Raider
Bergsteiger is our first 'playing member' from the USA (despite his German alias). Welcome again! :)
17/01/2005 - New Raider
Hauptmann Hauser (.de) has finished and won (!) his boot camp duel pretty fast and is a regular member now. :)
16/01/2005 - Scenario Update, Statistics Pages, Record
Good news: Jedrek41 has tweaked Westerplatte; v2.1 is better balanced than its predecessors.
Better news: Jedrek will also supply some fine scenarios of his own in the future. :)
As well the current as the long term statistics now actually deserve their designations thanks to Scipio.
Have a look at them!
BTW: our Mega-General Eiswolf has just finished his 100th game within less than one year!
14/01/2005 - New Raider
Duke van Hudde from Germany has finished his boot camp duel in only 4 days (also thanks to his busy drill sarge Fennek) and is a regular member now. :)
12/01/2005 - Boot Camp, Support
After nearly 4 years of constant work for the Raiders it's time for a (partly) change. Rayydar goes outsourcing. ;)
From now on Scipio is responsible for the 1st level support. Please do no more send emails concerning technical questions to Old Rayy!
08/01/2005 - Icons Search Tool, PG2 in Italiano, League
  • Old Schwejk has compiled a spreadsheet containing descriptions of nearly all available PG2 icons - a real benefit for e-file designers searching for adequate icons. -> PG2 Download -> Equipment & Patches

  •   Il nostro indaffarato aiutante LuigItaliano2 ha completato un' interfaccia per poter giocare PG2 interamente in italiano! Scaricate i file quì e sentirete il gioco più confortevole che mai!
    -> PG2 Download -> Equipment & Patches
That means: Luigi has translated some files and thus built an Italian user interface for PG2!
Maybe our Spanish friends can do the same for their compatriots?

  • Due to the initial training of a new ladder master the current ladders will be updated every 2 days and the long term ladders again once a week for a while.
  • Shukov got a new email address: shukov@freenet.de .
05/01/2005 - Jubilee, All-Time Record
The 100,000th visitor to our site has been our friend LuigItaliano2 who has received 3 bonus points in the long term ladders. Of course, many thanks to all other visitors as well!
After a long time there is a new number one in the absolute long term ladder: Eiswolf (who else? ;)
03/01/2005 - 8th Season
The new season starts with lots of results, among them a sensational 8:0 by our Italian hero Luigi! :))
BTW: don't wait for bonus weeks; there will be none this season. ;)
01/01/2005 - 7th Season Finished
In the championships of the 7th season the die is cast. Congratulations to the following generals:

Absolute championship:
  1.   Champion: Chris Filio (gets 15 extra points in the long term ladders)
  2.   Vice champion: Eiswolf (10 extra points)
  3.   Third: Kessler (5 extra points).
Relative championship:
  1.   Champion: Black Tuareg (15 extra points)
  2.   Vice champion: Rommel (10 extra points)
  3.   Third: Chris Filio (another 5 extra points).
Special thanks also to our busiest players, particularly to the
  •   Player of the Season: Eiswolf with a presumable world record of 56 PBEM matches in 6 months!
The hall of fame and the long term ladders including new medals and bonus points have been updated (games up to 31/12). The new current ladders will be up on Monday.
Good luck for the 8th season!
31/12/2004 - New Scenario
The final scenario for this year:
a historically correct 'Narvik' by Xamos on RedScorpion's winterly and beautiful map.

A happy and successful new year, and thanks to all who have been active in our club!
- Rayy
30/12/2004 - Scenario Comments
You can write scenario comments again. But please focus on scenarios having only one or no comment at all!
The 10th comment on scenario XYZ won't be published.
27/12/2004 - New Raider
We got a new member from Corsica (France) - like Napoleon! Bienvenu, Titus20!
24/12/2004 - Christmas Gifts

A Christmas gift by Gerra: his first, yet well-done historical scenario
Fight for Monte Cassino on his self-made new map. Have fun!

And our 'infotainment dept.' gives you a brand-new WW 2 quiz.
Have fun with it, too, but please do also remember the humans
behind those facts and figures!

Have a merry and peaceful Christmas!
- Rayy
19/12/2004 - New Scenario, New Raider
Another excellent scenario by Stephen deJong has been converted by Kessler.
Retreat to Tannenberg Line is probably one of the most challenging tasks for a Panzer General ever.
Hagen has made his way his out of the bootcamp and is a regular Raider now.
16/12/2004 - More Maps
There are a few more maps available, among them a small-scale MonteCassino, the first by our member Gerra. :)
14/12/2004 - Members
Jerry has decided to leave the Raiders.
As a new member we cordially welcome Joerg0866. :)
12/12/2004 - TGR: New Raid Available
11/12/2004 - Research Project, Ladders
For a statistical research project as many EML files as possible are needed. There are rumors that German DLLs on the one hand and US/UK ones on the other hand 'behave' differently in rare cases. And maybe one will find the reason for replay crashes in correctly played turns?
Probably the easiest way is to forward / cc me each turn you get from / send to your opponent for a while. Of course you can also send me lots of archived turns. Passwords are not required; the code of the EMLs will be evaluated by machine exclusively. Thanks in advance for your help!

With today's ladder updates many players are promoted to the respective 1st divisions. ;)
The current ladders 1st div. are expanded to 25 players, the long term 1st div. to 30 players - just in order to represent roughly the half of all listed (ex-) members.
And thanks to Scipio (see 25/11) the long term ladders can now be updated twice a week. :)
04/12/2004 - New Mega-General
Having a look at the long term ladder or the Hall of Fame you will notice that there is a new medal for His Honorable Excellence Eiswolf. He has become the 2nd Mega-General (300 points or 100 games) in the history of our club! :)
Even more amazing: it took him less than one year to collect this huge amount of points!
03/12/2004 - Suite PG2 update
The mysterious fatal error (in exceptional cases allegedly the e-file got corrupted) has been fixed, and Luis has again added some important enhancements to the Suite.
Please download v3.32c right now and make sure not to use v3.31 or 3.32a/b anymore!
01/12/2004 - New Raider, Tourney, Championships
Jedrek41 has successfully finished his bootcamp duel (vs. 'PG2 pensioner' Amona!) and is a regular member now. :)
The 2nd round of the world tournament has officially started, and nine players are still fighting heroicly for the Raiders: Black Tuareg, Bruno the Brute, Chris Filio, Eiswolf, Fennek, Kessler, Kojak, Kurt Steindorf, Sgt.Pepper. :)
Eiswolf and Kojak, BTW, have already won their 2nd round games!
The last month of this championship season has come. Time for some lazy players to start / complete
their 2 required games!
The current standings (taking the respective no. of games limits into account):
- Absolute ladder: 1. Chris Filio (111 points), 2. Eiswolf (103), 3. Mad Hungarian (94)
- Relative ladder:  1. Black Tuareg (ratio: 6.75), 2. Chris Filio (6.16), 3. Rayydar (6.0).
26/11/2004 - Suite PG2 again
Download of the Suite PG2 is temporarily disabled. There might be a fatal error in the latest versions.
Please don't use versions 3.31 and 3.32 until further notification!
25/11/2004 - Ladder Updates
OK, the current ladders will be updated daily again from now on - thanks to our DOM and Javascript wizard Scipio with reduced effort for your webmaster who has more time for other tasks thereby. :)
23/11/2004 - Suite PG2 again
Ooops! Just today the new version 3.32 including more improvements has been released
(-> PG2 Download -> Scenario Tools).
22/11/2004 - Miscellaneous
Luis Guzman's 'Suite PG2' is now available at our site (-> PG2 Download -> Scenario Tools).
Please read the notes on the d/l page!
Amona's excellent 'Anzio v1.1' scenario seems to have been incompatible with the H-patch up to now for some strange reasons. Anyway, here is a corrected release. Have fun with it!
Mad Hungarian, always ready to test, has additionally taken on the job of a drill sarge. Thanks! :)
Ladder updates are postponed to (probably) Thursday due to an internal redesign.
15/11/2004 - Journey to 'Rommel'
Thanks to Winter's report today you can learn something about Poland, Warsaw and WW2 hardware.
And in the 2nd part, appearing soon, you will meet the ingenious PG2 Rommel himself!
10/11/2004 - Rules
Please take part in our poll on a modification of the rules!
09/11/2004 - TGR Success
Raid 04 is finished, and Drache has performed a nearly perfect march-through to Berlin!
For his final victory he gets not less than 18 points! Participation in TGR can be rewarding, indeed ... ;)
07/11/2004 - New Scenario
Xamos has hit again! He has built a new sophisticated 'what-if' scenario dealing with Gibraltar - Operation 'Felix'.
BTW: all scenario table header links do work now *blush*.
06/11/2004 - Tournament
Good news: two Raiders have already won their first round games.
Bad news: the losers are members of our distinguished club, too. ;'o
About the rules:
1. If you play for the Raiders in the tourney you may and you shall report your results for the ladder!
2. But please look at which club your opponent plays for!
If a Raiders' member starts for another club, please enter him as 'external player'!
04/11/2004 - New Raider, Scenario 'Updates'
Thanks to our busy drill sarge Fennek there is another regular member today:
Musaka has finished his first pbem game ever pretty quickly. :)
Two old scenarios have been made H-patch compatible and bilingual:
Op. Crusader and Kasserine (no new versions, though).
03/11/2004 - New Raids
02/11/2004 - New TGR Rule
The new rule (see TGR entry page), valid from now on, prevents 'sudden death' raids.
31/10/2004 - Portal Tournament, Ladder, New Raider, TGR
The 7th PG2 world tourney roster is up; just press the 'Tourney' button in the menu frame!
And there is a new all-time record with 17 players starting for the Raiders. :)  Good luck to all of you!

There are lots of new ladder results today. These are usually not commented - but two of them are indeed worth to be mentioned:
a) Sgt. Pepper from Austria has finished his boot camp duel and is now a regular member :)
b) After 36 games without a single victory our Italian hero LuigItaliano2 has won his first duel!!!
I guess really everybody rejoices with him. Congratulations, Luigi! :))

There are not quite as good news, though: another raid has ended in a draw. :'o
A modification of the rules is being thought about ...
27/10/2004 - Scenario Update, TGR
Oops! I did it again! I.e. I uploaded another version of 'Kharkov March 43', this time the correct one with increased no. of turns. You can download v2.1 right here. Sorry for the inconvenience!
A new raid will not be published until new TGR results arrive. It should be a matter of course to play TGR games with highest priority since other players are waiting! In other words: a TGR game should be finished within 2 weeks as a rule.
24/10/2004 - Scenario Update, New Raider
Xamos has improved and RSFplusified his 'Kharkov March 43'. It could even said to be a 'new' scenario because it has been never played up to now for mysterious reasons (?).
RLM has successfully gone through the boot camp in his second attempt. The first, BTW, did not not at all fail due to lack of qualification, but due to an unforeseeable vacation.
22/10/2004 - Raid Restart
After its early 'sudden death' From Africa to Italy is being restarted. May the Force be with you at Tunis!
Upcoming is a completely new raid by Amona. :) There has just one scenario to be modified.
20/10/2004 - Internationality
Black Tuareg, one of our very top players, would like to face international opponents. His knowledge of English is poor - but who cares? You will understand his 'language' on the battlefield! :)
19/10/2004 - New Member of Staff, New Raider
Another 'drill sarge' is ready for duty in our virtual boot camp: Fennek, who himself has joined us recently and is already one of our most active members. :)
Our latest regular member is Gazelle from Germany.
18/10/2004 - New Raider
Devean (Poland) is our latest regular member. He writes in excellent English - no communication problems at all :)
17/10/2004 - New Member of Staff, Download
Mad Hungarian, one of our most active members anyway, has joined our staff (see the imprint) as a quality manager. Maybe scenarios will be played on Excel spreadsheets instead of maps in the future? ;))
On our PG2 Download page -> Scenario Tools there is a new and - of course - significantly improved version of Progi's equipment editor.
15/10/2004 - Raid Restart
After its early 'sudden death' the Fight for the Oil is being restarted. Please avoid a draw in the very first game! ;)
12/10/2004 - Scenario Update
Xamos' masterpiece 'Monte Cassino - Op. Shingle' now available as even more realistic RSFplus version.
05/10/2004 - Button
The actual TGR page can now be accessed directly from the menu frame (left).
02/10/2004 - New Raid
The new 'Raid to Berlin' is available in two versions.
30/09/2004 - New Raider
Thanks to our Italian Connection Vito has finished his boot camp duel as quickly as successfully and is now a regular member. :)
29/09/2004 - New Raid
Thanks to Xamos there is a new raid available. Good luck with your Fight for the Oil!
But please do no more register for slots which are already occupied! :/
BTW: there is already a first result in raid #01 ...
26/09/2004 - New Play Format
Have fun with our new play format, The Grand Raid (of course accessible from the re-organized site map as well)!
And please post questions and suggestions in the Raiders' Corner exclusively.
25/09/2004 - Tournament
The next Portal tournament is going to start on Oct. 1. However, there are still free slots. Although the Raiders are already the strongest team with 13 participants even more of us should register!
23/09/2004 - New Email Address
Also RedScorpion has a new address now: redscorpion@freakmail.de .
Thus there are no more unreliable AOL addresses in our club. :)
19/09/2004 - Scenario Update, New Raider
The very beginning of WW2 at the Westerplatte is one of the earliest scenes by RedScorpion, now converted to RSFplus. Maybe it is not really authentic to a large extent, but it is fun to play - and maybe it will be required for the upcoming new play format. ;)
Fennek has finished his boot camp duel in only 3 days (!) and is now a regular Raider. :)
17/09/2004 - New Email Address
Infernalex has a new address: alexander.schmid1@chello.at .
15/09/2004 - A Word About Rules (if the forum is temporarily down please try later)
07/09/2004 - New Scenario, New Email Address
The first scenario by Xamos since he joined our club: Crete - Op. Mercury (no Freddie ;) deals with the German airborne assault in a historically most accurate way. Great!
Also Boruse now has a reliable email provider. His new address: boruse@freenet.de.
4 scenario update subscribers, however, did not receive the update due to Amok OnLine. :((
06/09/2004 - Good News
Good old Kurt Steindorf has recovered from serious health problems and is ready for combat again. :)
Thanks to his tourney registration there is a new record in Raiders' participation - already 12 of our guys will take part! There are still free slots, though.
05/09/2004 - New Email Address
Drache can again be mailed to by anybody anytime since he has got a new address: drache@rayy.de
01/09/2004 - New Raider, AOL Mail Adresses
We welcome a well-known PG2 veteran as a regular member: though Xamos has not yet finished his boot camp duel, he has sent in two of his high quality scenarios which will be published soon :)
AOL mail adresses will no more be accepted in our club. Meanwhile nearly every mail to AOL users is rejected by AOL for absolute ridiculous reasons. This is just unreasonable!
29/08/2004 - Player of the Month
Retrospectivly as from the start of this season the busiest general - regardless of his results - is appointed 'Player of the Month'. Limitation: each player can achieve this title only once within a season.
27/08/2004 - Tournaments
Congrats and 5 bonus points go to Black Tuareg, the second runner-up in tourney #6 for the second time in a row! You see, it can be rewarding to start for the Raiders in the biggest PG2 contest ever! Unless you have already registered for tourney #7 (start: Oct. 1), please do so here right now!
25/08/2004 - New Raider
Mad Hungarian from Canada (where else ;) , a busy and excellent player (some Raiders have experienced that in the tourney ;) is our newest regular member. Welcome again and good luck!
23/08/2004 - Additional Web Address
If you ever sit in front of another computer and can't remember the Raiders' address, try to remember this one: http://beam.to/panzergeneral (without 'www'!).
19/08/2004 - New Rule
Despite we don't like detailed rules for each and everything this one about ships blocking port hexes seems to be inevitable. If you have a better idea how to handle this please post your suggestion! Anyway, this is a default - you can agree on a houserule with your opponent as usual.
17/08/2004 - Tournament, D-Day II
The registration for the 7th PG2 World Tournament (start: October, 1) is open here right now!
Please remember that tourney duels and (bonus) points are only scored in our ladder if you start for the Raiders! ;-)
For infos about D-Day victory conditions please read this!
16/08/2004 - Tournament
In the 6th tournament, Black Tuareg is fighting for the 3rd place against El Condoro (playing for the FFWC). And our new boot camp member Mad Hungarian (playing for TBG) is striving for the cup! Good luck to all of you!
15/08/2004 - New Raider
Cherusker (.de) has been thoroughly drilled by Wuestenfuchs and is a regular Raider from now on.
08/08/2004 - New Scenario
Advance on Murmansk is the first Raiders scenario by the well-known Stephen deJong aka The Duke of Brabant, converted by our wizard Kessler.
02/08/2004 - New Drill Sarge
Thanks to Krassus who is now at our disposal as a PBEM drill sarge :)
Furthermore 1 - 2 online drill sarges are urgently needed!
29/07/2004 - Good News, Bad News
Please read this!.
20/07/2004 - New Raider, Change of Address
Infernalex has made his way out of the boot camp straight into the 1st division.
However, he can't play for some weeks due to a 'baby break' :)
Please note that LuigItaliano2, one of our busiest players, has got a new e-mail address: de_lorenzo@tiscali.it.
18/07/2004 - New Raider
Adalbert Schulz has played his boot camp duel in an absolutely correct way and is now a regular Raider. :)
17/07/2004 - Scenario Update
The fictitious scenario about the famous Panzer-Lehrdivision is now available for RSFplus + H-patch.
Please look into the readme file!
06/07/2004 - Raiders Bonus Weeks
Summertime? Lying on the beach / at the pool? No computer / no internet available? So far, so good ... :)
But maybe you are just missing some extra points which could be decisive for this season's championship!
So you better take advantage of the Raiders bonus weeks right now! For details see the result report form.
03/07/2004 - New Ladders, ex Members
The current ladders for the 7th season are up and show some results already, including those of "Rehhagel's Heroes" ;)
The following Raiders have been dismissed in honor and are therefore kept in the long term ladders:
Eisensau, McLong, Schumi III. Good luck to all of them!
Several other guys have been stricken from all ladders due to inactivity, partially even not replying to e-mails. :(
02/07/2004 - Hall of Fame
The international Hall of Fame has been established and completed by the results of the 6th season.
'International' up to now means that explanations are in English - hopefully in the future there will be also more than one non-German players in it!
01/07/2004 - 6th Season Finished
In the championships of the 6th season the die is cast. Congratulations to the following generals:

Absolute championship:
  1. Champion: Black Tuareg (gets 15 extra points in the long term ladders)
  2. Vice champion: Eiswolf (10 extra points)
  3. Thirds: Kojak and Jerry (5 extra points each).
Relative championship:
  1. Champion: RedScorpion (15 extra points)
  2. Vice champion: Wuestenfuchs (10 extra points)
  3. Third: Black Tuareg (another 5 extra points).
Particularly nice: two pbem newbies (Eiswolf and Kojak) who joined us this season are awarded their first medals! This proves that everybody has a chance in our league. Just play (and win sometimes ;)
Good luck for the 7th season!
29/06/2004 - New Portal Club, New Raider
Another great PG2 international club has joined the PG Portal. Welcome, players of the Generals Guild!
Interclub games are basically possible, but please ask your GG opponent before you play!
Out of the boot camp into the ladders: Shukov, a Panzer General who has already been very successful in other German leagues. A tough opponent even for top players!
27/06/2004 - Change of Rules
What do you think about a last minute change of our championship rules? Please read and discuss this!
25/06/2004 - New Raiders
Chris Filio from Greece and El Condoro from Australia have successfully finished a pbem duel in the boot camp and are now regular members. Welcome aboard, guys!
20/06/2004 - New Scenario (Sinyavino)
19/06/2004 - New Mapnames Files
17/06/2004 - Tournament
The 5th Portal tournament, perfectly organized by 'world tourney master' HPS has been finished earlier than scheduled. The winner and the runner-up had already been certain (see 30/05). Now our Black Tuareg came third and therefore gets 5 bonus points. Peter Pan (4th) who fought his way into the finals against strong opponents has also done a good job. All in all, the Raiders were more successful than ever! Congrats to all participants in the finals!
10/06/2004 - New Raiders
Our 'Vikings', Hikker100 and Ragge40, have successfully finished their first online duel in the boot camp and are now regular members. Welcome again!
07/06/2004 - Scenario Update
Maleme (Crete), an oldie but goodie by RedScorpion, is now available for RSFplus.
06/06/2004 - D-Day
01/06/2004 - Kessler is back again, Scenarios
After nearly one year of absence Kessler, a very busy player and scenario designer / converter, has returned to our club. Two of his older scenarios are available again: Trap them at Demyansk and Run for the Oil.
Maybe there will be new ones in the future?
30/05/2004 - Tournament Success
Raiders intelligence reports that RedScorpion has come second in the 5th Portal tournament! Therefore he will get 10 bonus ladder points. Congratulations, Scorpi!
The tourney winner is Rommel, playing for TBG. Congrats, too!
27/05/2004 - Boot Camp
To make an end to 'fake registrations', i.e. filter out guys who register and are never heard of afterwards,
a boot camp is installed - like in other clubs. This will avoid unnecessary work (ladder maintenance), minimize trouble with non-responding 'players' and give regular members some infos about new applicants.
23/05/2004 - Our new guests
We are proud to host the web page of the M&L Italian WW3 Project now (the WarHexes site seems to be down, unfortunately). Matteo's and Luigi's club provides a quite revolutionary game format: large scale PG2 team pbem on a fictitious WW3 background also involving political, economical, and industrial aspects.
For questions and discussions our Italian friends got a nice forum of their own.
Please learn more about it here!. Of course you can find a link on the site map (league section), too.
16/05/2004 - New Raider, Championship
Another very active PG2 enthusiast, this time from Italy, has joined us. Benvenutto, LuigItaliano2!
Luigi's WW3 project will be presented here soon!
The top duel of this season, Jerry vs. Eiswolf, has just been finished - in a People's General scenario, BTW! Probably one of these tireless fighters will become the absolute champion. Favorites for the relative championship seem to be Wuestenfuchs and RedScorpion - Scorpi will still get at least 10 extra points from the 5th tournament!
15/05/2004 - Inactivity Alerts
These members are to finish at least 2 duels until June, 30:
Eisensau, Paris, Rai-Khan, Strachwitz.
These members are to finish at least 1 (more) duel(s) until June, 30:
Contender, Jo, Josuadom, McLong, Minox, Rakassan, Schlieffen, Schumi III, Ward's Grenadiers.
Otherwise they will be dismissed at the end of the current season! Please read more!.
13/05/2004 - New Ladder Layout
All ladders are now split into two divisions. This has absolutely no effect on the rules, though. Please read more!.
12/05/2004 - New Raider
We are proud to present the first Raider from Greece: Silver is a seasoned wargamer (PG2 PBEM: 2 years) and a very fair player; he even gives unexperienced opponents strategy tips during a game - in excellent English! Kalosírthes, Silver!
10/05/2004 - How to Play Online, Jerry's Help Desk
Jerry's guidelines for playing PG2 online are now available in English and can be downloaded in the 'league' section of the site map or right here.
If you are looking for an opponent Jerry will help you as well (of course, you should use the Portal opponent finder and / or the forum first). Last, but not least: Jerry will also help you with technical questions (installation, graphics problems etc.).
This means, Jerry is your 1st level support person from now on, for your webmaster needs more time to develop new features! :-)
08/05/2004 - New Raider, Kurt Steindorf
After being drilled by the one and only Wuestenfuchs Ironduke is now ready for PBEM and a regular Raiders member.
Sad news: Kurt Steindorf is in hospital since mid-April and can of course neither play nor reply to mails. Get well soon, Kurt!
25/04/2004 - New Scenario
At last 'D-Day II', the first scenario using new H-patch features, is up.
Please:
a) Take a look at the README file (even if you don't so normally)!
b) Write a comment after you have played it against a human opponent - the scenario is rather sophisticated and will require some duels to make it perfect.
24/04/2004 - New Raider
A new multi-lingual member from the U.S.A. using a famous German alias and also understanding French, German, Polish, and Spanish - way cool! Welcome, Schlieffen! Having 2 years of PG2 PBEM experience, Schlieffen is ready for combat.
The new 'H-patch scenario' will probably be published tomorrow.
18/04/2004 - New Raider
Another jugador from Spain has joined us. Bienvenido, Josuadom!
Josuadom has 1 year experience in playing BEM and online and is looking for opponents.
17/04/2004 - New Raider, Misc.
Welcome to a new member from New Zealand! Zealous wants to play BEM and online (1 - 2 years experience).
I guess his alias speaks for itself. So please challenge him!
Hartmann is temporarily offline 'thanks' to his new ISP and cannot play regularly right now. For urgent cases he got another e-mail address - see the ladder.
Sorry, guys, the new 'H-patch scenario' announced for this weekend will be delayed for some days or a week due to recent webspace trouble and apparently required massive changes (according to the running playtest). Quality rules!
15/04/2004 - Tournament, RSF, Scenario Comments
Congratulations again to our 'three musketeers' Black Tuareg, Peter Pan, and RedScorpion
for reaching the semi-finals in the 5th Portal tourney. Three Raiders among four remaining players - excellent job! :)
The registration countdown for the 6th tourney is running!
Thanks to IronlunG and Tolly for the following hint: The RSF is in fact compatible with the BP Datup & Soundup, i.e. you can install it like most other e-files and need not download the graphics and sounds if you have those BP files.
More scenario comments have been added.
12/04/2004 - Two New Raiders
New members nearly everyday - amazing! :)
We welcome Santiago Fuertes from Spain, well-known as one of the famous Latin Generals,
and Wards Grenadiers from the U.S.A., a very experienced PG2 veteran.
11/04/2004 - Easter eggs
Giants at the Vistula, the ultimate 'heavy metal' scenario, is now available for RSF. Believe me, there are even more tanks than in 'Kursk', 'Citadel North' and 'Prokhorovka!
Both versions of the likewise excellent Monte Cassino have translated files now and will no more crash due to special characters.
For those who had missed the links in the forum, there are four galleries of large-scale photos from the Sinsheim technical museum where some of us met last year. See Misc. Stuff -> Panzer Photos.
Happy Easter!
10/04/2004 - New Raider
And a new member from Germany: welcome, Drache (= Dragon)!
He is an experienced PBEM player and supposed to be a demanding opponent.
09/04/2004 - New Raider
Another new Raider from Spain! Bienvenido, Minox! Minox has 1 year of experience in PG2 and PBEM, plays in several leagues and is now looking for opponents in our club. Who dares to fight a duel against him?
06/04/2004 - New Raider
We are proud to welcome our first member from the UK. IronlunG has 2 years of PBEM experience and has played online as well, i.e. he is ready for combat. Who will be the first to challenge him?
04/04/2004 - Opponent Finder
A bilingual opponent finder form is available on the new Portal pages and in the 'league' section of the Raiders site map now. Future entries will be displayed in English as well.
31/03/2004 - The H-Patch is up!
No more G-patch! From now on the H-patch should be the Portal standard (unless you still prefer v1.02).
Particularly in the upcoming 6th tournament it will be mandatory!
So please download, install and use it now! And please read the description linked on the download page.
BTW (1): that page is completely translated now.
BTW (2): the first 'H-patch scenario' is already being worked on. :-)
Last, but not least: please tell your opponents and other PG2 players about the H-patch in order to introduce it Portal-wide ASAP.
28/03/2004 - Tournament
Congrats to Black Tuareg, Peter Pan, and RedScorpion for reaching the quarter finals.
Three Raiders among eight remaining players - good job! :-)
26/03/2004 - New Link, Scenario Comments
The Latin Generals, the premier PG2 site for Spanish speaking people, is now linked under 'PG2 Specials'.
Some more scenario comments have been added. Please read the comment on 'Stalingrad' by JJLL!
24/03/2004 - New Portal Community
WarHexes, recently introduced international PG community from Romania, has joined the PG Portal and will take part in the upcoming tournament (May, 1)!
Due to a current redesign of the Portal pages it will take a few days until WarHexes appear there.
Anyway: Welcome to the Portal!
21/03/2004 - Scenario Update
'Perekop' is now available as an RSFplus version.
19/03/2004 - Panzer Puzzle solved
If a discussion on the solution is wanted, please use the forum (Raiders' Corner).
17/03/2004 - Panzer Puzzle Update
OK, now the entire AFV is visible: a Russian TD captured by the Wehrmacht. Should this be the first puzzle to remain unsolved? Or will anybody send the correct designation? The solution will be published on Friday, anyway.
16/03/2004 - New Link ...
... to another great PG community: PG2 leagues -> WarHexes.
15/03/2004 - Panzer Puzzle Update
OK, now it should be clear which AFV it is. And what was its Wehrmacht designation?
14/03/2004 - New Raider, old Raider, new rule
Contender from Germany has finished his tutorial duel against our Wuestenfuchs (Desert Fox) and is a regular member from now on. However, he needs a 2 weeks leave after that battle. *g*
Jerry, one of the earliest Raiders and our busiest player has been appointed Mega General (more than 300 points) as our first member ever! Therefore as well as for other contributions to our community he receives a prize, a medal and cordial thanks by the ladder master.:-))
Since our league has grown significantly in the past months, from now on also the third-placed players in both championships (absolute and relative) will be honored.
13/03/2004 - Panzer Puzzle Update
C'mon, guys! There have already been some basically correct solutions. However, this AFV was obviously used by the Wehrmacht. So the according designation is ...?
10/03/2004 - Panzer Puzzle Update
09/03/2004 - New Raider
The first member from Spain, one of the leading 'PG2 nations', has joined us. Bienvenido, JJLL!
08/03/2004 - Panzer Puzzle Update
06/03/2004 - Panzer Puzzle Update, New Raiders, Scenario Updates
We got a new member from the U.S.A. Welcome aboard, Rakassan!
And a new member on trial from Germany who is going to play his first pbem duel ever. Welcome as well, Ironduke!
In its new version 2.2 the Dieppe scenario has more turns to prevent frequent draw results.
The Kasserine scen (no new version) has a *.PLY in English and won't crash anymore - thanks to Rakassan.
05/03/2004 - Scenario and campaign tools
Translated section of our PG2 Download page.
04/03/2004 - New Panzer Puzzle, Tournament
In the 10th Panzer Puzzle there is an 'amnesty' for former winners, i.e. they may win again. Have fun!
The second round in the Portal tournament has been reached by 4 out of 9 Raiders: Black Tuareg, Eiswolf, Peter Pan, RedScorpion. Unfortunately, there had been some Raiders vs. Raiders duels in the first round.
Anyway: congratulations, and may the force be with you!
For those who were eliminated there are only 2 months to go until the next tourney - thanks to HPS! :-)
03/03/2004 - Still alive and well
No update for an entire week without previous announcement? The one and only reason for this could only be a desastrous computer crash - and in fact, it was. :-(((
OK, now the webmaster is back. Today there are some comments on the scenario page (rightmost column), and of course many ladder updates. Tomorrow the new Panzer Puzzle will start.
24/02/2004 - Links section complete
Now all link descriptions are in English, and only sites in English are linked. Of course 'complete' does not mean there won't be more links in the future. Suggestions will be appreciated! Reports on broken links as well.
If you like to surf German sites, nevertheless, just hop to our German pages (see site map).
20/02/2004 - New Raider, Imprint
It is a great honor and pleasure for us to welcome the famous Gen. h.c. Alsenor, founder and carrier of TBG, as our second international member (the first had been Rommel).
The imprint is now up in English; so you can take a look at those funny guys of our staff. :~)
19/02/2004 - Update info
If the site is updated without an entry in the news it is usually a ladder update or another minor update (scenario statistics, comments etc.).
18/02/2004 - Opening of the Raiders' International Section
Welcome again to our PG II community. Maybe you have already visited our site but have not understood anything. Well, this is going to change from now on!
In order to make yourself comfortable with this site please read this first!!

Of course, we can't translate all pages at once. However, you will already find everything you need to play our fine RSF scenarios in the Raiders league or elsewhere:
  • Scenarios:
The scenario page, the previews, and the scenarios themselves are now available in English.
  • RSF equipment file:
At last there is an English version of the well-known RSF including installation instructions.
  • League:
  • We run a traditional pbem and online ladder without any unnecessary beaurocracy. We concentrate on the game itself and not on the administration of games. We just like to play in a famliar atmosphere. Please read the rules for details.
  • Additional goodies:
There is some more stuff like a map download and a basic link page. And there will be more English pages plus another Panzer Puzzle in the near future. So keep on lurking! :-)
Have fun at the new Raiders international site!

Last, but not least: many thanks to our 'guest translators' Gen. h.c. Alsenor and Ines for their support! :-)
- Rayydar
